Sharp has unveiled an advanced version of its EV concept, featuring an on-board theatre and workspace to make mobility ‘part of the home’.
The electronics corporation, known for its televisions and refrigerators, develops its initial EV concept from 2024 with the ‘LDK+’, which stands for Living, Dining, Kitchen. Under new key messaging, the second model strives to become an “extension of the living room” with cabin features that transform into a theatre room or remote workspace.
Alongside its offering for comfort on the move, the concept also proposes to make the parked car an extended living room space, similar to a garden room or cabin, with Vehicle to Home (V2H) connectivity handling solar power generation.
Inside, a screen installed above the rear seats can be pulled down to show movies or conduct online meetings on a large display, supported by an integrated projector. The driver’s seat can be swivelled backwards to fit into this setup and create a living room-like atmosphere.

Sharp said it’s committed to new values through the fusion of lifestyles and mobility. The move that reflects client expectations of one unified interface for all major systems, all too familiar to integrators in the luxury residential market.
Building on its intelligent predecessor, the ‘LDK+’ also combines AI and IoT into a trademark platform that speaks to household devices such as air conditioning and kitchen appliances.
It makes its debut at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, one of Japan’s largest mobility events, from October 30 to November 9.
