Sony home cinema projectors return to European market

Sony has resumed the supply of its home cinema and business projectors in the European market after a two-month interruption.

The products returning to market will be shipped under current technical specifications and include the new BRAVIA Projector 7, set to launch in Europe in summer 2025.

This announcement follows recent adjustments to EU export control regulations and trade restrictions, which caused the disruption back in March.

Rik Willemse, head of professional displays and solutions at Sony Europe, said: “We’re delighted to be able to resume European shipping of our projectors, including our latest BRAVIA Projector 8 and BRAVIA Projector 9 for home cinema, and we’re excited to introduce the BRAVIA Projector 7 later this summer.

“These products have remained available in other regions, and we’re now focused on meeting European customer demand as swiftly as possible. We’re glad to be back and appreciate the continued understanding and support of our partners and customers.”

Powered by the XR Processor for laser technology, the new BRAVIA Projector 7 includes XR Dynamic Tone Mapping, Deep Black, TRILUMINOS PRO and Clear Image for contrast and 4K upscaling.

Additionally, IMAX Enhanced compatibility and a 2,200 lumen laser light source offer rich images and low-latency 4K 120fps gaming.

More details on shipping windows will be available via Sony’s professional partner portal.
