Bluesound launches three new NODE wireless music streamers

Bluesound has added to its portfolio of wireless hi-res music streamers with the introduction of the NODE NANO, NODE, and flagship NODE ICON.

Ideal as an entry streamer, the NODE NANO is slim and compact, offering only the essentials to transform existing hi-fi components and home audio devices into powerful music streaming systems. The NODE NANO is available now globally priced at £299 / €349.

A remastering of the original wireless hi-res music streamer, the NODE features an all-new ESS SABRE DAC for ultra-clean processing and improved performance. The NODE is available for pre-order, priced at £499 / €599 in black and white finishes. It will begin shipping from 24 September.

The new flagship NODE ICON features a 5-in full-colour display and Dual-Mono DAC design with two ESS SABRE DACs. The NODE ICON will be available to pre-order from 17 October priced at £899 / €1099 and will start shipping from 15 November.

According to the company, the new NODE family gives customers the most powerful and versatile lineup or wireless music streamers it has ever offered. The models feature carefully selected componentry and masterfully engineered audio architecture to deliver high-quality sound.

Bluesound NODE

The new NODE streamers feature Bluesound’s expert engineering, with a transparent signal path with a cleverly designed circuitry layout that uses efficiency and isolation to avoid unwanted noise and distortion. Every component within the streamers have been meticulously fine-tuned to deliver the most true-to-source audio input to output.

Popular music streaming services, such as Amazon Music, TIDAL and Spotify, as well as personal music libraries with thousands of tracks in HD quality, can be streamed at the highest quality on any NODE. Apple AirPlay 2 and aptX Adaptive Bluetooth are also built-in for even more music options from apps and services. The NODE and NODE ICON also now supports high-resolution DSD playback.

Both the NODE and NODE ICON feature THX AAA headphone technology for the most linear response. Its patented feed-forward error correction delivers high-quality sound with low noise and distortion. The NODE and NODE ICON are equipped with a full sized ¼ headphone jack while the NODE ICON features both left and right jacks for cable management.

For room correction, the NODE and NODE ICON are ready for Dirac Live Room Correction, available by upgrade directly from Dirac with a license purchase. Using Dirac’s app and room correction technology, users can measure their room acoustics and eliminate bass traps, echoes, and other unwanted distortions. A calibration kit with a high-sensitivity mic is also required and available from Bluesound by additional purchase.

All NODE wireless streamers can wirelessly connect to Bluesound speakers and other stereo components to create a multiroom music system connected by BluOS. Supported by the latest dual-band WI-Fi technology, music favourites and playlists can be streamed in every room of the house without dropouts or interruptions.

Bluesound NODE NANO

All NODEs are designed to match perfectly with stereo components or in an AV rack with support for popular smart home control systems including Control4, Crestron, ELAN, RTI and more. The NODE and NODE ICON feature a full suite of digital/analogue inputs and outputs for convenience and flexibility, including RCA, Coax, Optical, HDMI eARC, and USB. The NODE NANO only includes digital/analogue outputs.
