Denon has launched its first dedicated multi-room receiver, the HEOS AVR.
Denon claims the newest addition to its multi-room audio family is designed to “simplify” surround sound by offering the setup and operation of a soundbar.
Supporting hi res audio and up to 5.1 channel surround sound, the HEOS AVR communicates wirelessly with Denon's HEOS speakers and wireless subwoofer (not yet released).
It incorporates four HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2 inputs and a built-in Class D amplifier (100W per channel).
The AVR can decode Dolby TrueHD and DTS Master Audio codecs.
Users can also stream music wirelessly from popular music services via the HEOS app.
The HEOS AVR will be released in April 2017, available in Gun Metal Grey.
