Denon Announces Next-Gen HEOS Multiroom System

Denon Electronics has made significant upgrades to its popular HEOS wireless multi-room sound system, including the addition of high-res audio, Bluetooth compatibility and upgraded processing power.

The HEOS (HS2) range will feature built in Bluetooth functionality, allowing streaming from a smart device while the HEOS app will allow the playing of Bluetooth sources from any room by grouping HEOS zones together. The company says the integration of Bluetooth increases the amount of devices that can be streamed from, adding compatibility with Windows Phone, PC and Mac to the existing iOS, Android and Amazon Fire options.

The New HEOS (HS2) will take the next logical step by introducing high resolution audio playback, including files up to 24-bit/192-kHz over network or USB.

HEOS features four wireless multi-zone speakers: HEOS 1, HEOS 3, HEOS 5 and HEOS 7. The HEOS Link and HEOS Amp bring HEOS functionality to Hi-Fi systems and passive speakers while the HEOS HomeCinema soundbar and subwoofer brings the HEOS sound to TVs everywhere.
