Dirac Live comes to Tonewinner AT-600 AV processor

Dirac has confirmed the new Tonewinner AT-600 AV processor supports its Dirac Live platform, bringing room correction capabilities to a broader segment of the home cinema market.

The 16-channel processor launches with support for Dirac Live Room Correction and Bass Control, with Active Room Treatment (ART) compatibility scheduled to follow later this year.

According to Dirac, the AT-600 is the first Chinese OEM-developed and branded device to integrate Dirac Live technology.

Anders Storm, CEO of the Swedish digital audio company, said: “We talk about the complete audio experience as system, source, and space.

“And the space is consistently the most overlooked of the three.

“Tonewinner clearly sees it the same way.”

Designed for immersive home cinema applications, the processor supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X along with HDMI 2.1 connectivity and 8K video passthrough.

Room Correction addresses acoustic issues caused by the surrounding environment, while Bass Control optimises the interaction between loudspeakers and subwoofers to improve low-frequency performance across seating positions.

The processor supports system configurations of up to 9.3.4 or 7.3.6 channels, with compatibility across Dolby Vision and HDR10+ video formats.

Michael Li, president of Tonewinner, added the product represents a goal to deliver high-end home cinema performance at a competitive price point.
