Home audio brand Linn has paired 119 and 150 compact speakers with a refined version of the Selekt DSM Classic Hub as part of its new product line-up.
The 119 and 150 loudspeakers are designed to deliver a range of performance capabilities across the Selekt System, beginning with passive configuration with the option to progress to an all-Linn system featuring the company’s flagship Exakt technology.
Users can make performance enhancements in a single step or over time using the configurability of Selekt DSM, which now enters a new generation while maintaining the cartridge-based modularity of its predecessor.
As part of a Selekt system, the 119 is a bookshelf speaker that can have its rear port bypassed and a digital bass augmentation filter applied to produce tight low-end performance. It can also perform mounted on a stand or placed on furniture.
The 150 is 3-way and similarly compact in style, possessing dual downwards-firing ports at the base of its cabinet with omnidirectional bass performance. The internal passive crossover enables upgrade to the Selekt system featuring Exakt technology with expanded amplification, DAC modules and Exact digital crossover.
The Selekt DSM enables users to stream online music libraries and video, featuring a range of digital and analogue inputs to process audio from different sources. The integrated stage accepts turntables, CD players and digital connections from video streaming devices, games consoles and Blu-ray players. The hub can be upgraded with multiple amplifiers and DAC modules, offering up to 24bit/384kHz and DSD256 streaming capability.
