Loewe and building automation specialist ISE are claiming the first ever KNX module for a TV set with a product preview at the Light & Build show in Frankfurt this week.
The module, shown at the exhibition that runs March 18 to 23 on the ISE stand B32 in hall 11.1, allows the TV to be integrated within the smart home environment.
Loewe and ISE outlined examples of how the technology could be used including motion detection to track people as they wake up and switch on the TV or switching on complimentary lighting for a cinema setting. The TV could also turn itself off when residents leave their home.
The KNX module follows certified IP and RS232 drivers for Crestron and Control 4 as a well as drivers for other brands such as Savant and RTI for Loewe.
