Lutron intros deeper HomeWorks & Ketra integration

At CEDIA 2018, Lutron staked a claim to the demo of the show by introducing the fruits of its work with Ketra in ‘natural’ LED lighting.

Lutron’s recently unveiled update to its HomeWorks QS software eases the integration of Ketra and HomeWorks systems.

To be released in Q4 of 2018, HomeWorks QS’ most recent software update leverages Lutron’s recent acquisition of Ketra to create light that seamlessly emulates daylight in interior spaces. The move allows installers and designers to create white, pastels and saturated colours suited to the specific needs of a space in the home via Ketra Design Studio programming (to be directly available on the Lutron HomeWorks QS database).

Homeowners will furthermore be able to control the light across both Ketra and HomeWorks QS systems through the same keypads.

Lutron states that it has worked on importing Ketra Design Studio programming into a HomeWorks QS database being as simple as possible by the HomeWorks QS software “easily” pulling in Ketra projects and assigning scenes to buttons on any computer with Ketra Design Studio installed.

At the show, the lighting manufacturer also introduced a DIN rail panel featuring integrated AFCI breakers, reducing the need for additional panels and wiring – shipping in Q1 2019.
