Marantz launches new AV receivers for home cinema

Marantz is introducing two new AV receivers to its SR-series, the SR5014 and the SR6014 Ultra HD 4K AV receivers.

Featuring the latest in audio and video technologies, the SR6014 features 9-channel amplification and IMAX Enhanced upgrades, as well as 4K Ultra HD and the addition of Dolby Atmos Height Virtualisation to both models.

The SR6014 boasts high-current discrete power amplifiers on all channels to deliver 185 watts of power per each of the nine channels, as well as featuring Marantz’s flagship Hyper Dynamic Amplification Module (HDAM) circuitry to provide optimal fidelity and maximum dynamic range of high-resolution files.

Specifically for home cinemas, the SR6014 supports a number of multi-dimensional audio formats including IMAX Enhanced, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and DTS Virtual:X.

They both also support eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) allowing lossless and obkect-based audio transmission like Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Atmos from TV apps using a single HDMI cable, which gives users the power enjoy better quality and more immersive surround sound experiences from their TV audio.

In addition, Xbox One users will also have a more responsive and immersive gamin experience when connected with the addition of Auto Low Latency Mode on select TVs that support it.

Compatible with a range of streaming services and voice control agents, users are able easily listen and control their music across the house using HEOS Built-in.

To simplify set up and optimise the user’s listening experience, the SR5014 uses Audyssey MultEQ XT and the SR6014 uses Audyssey MultEQ XT32 room calibration.

The new SR models will be available at authorised Marantz dealers in elegant black or classic silver-gold finishes. The SR6014 is priced at £1,249/€1.399/$1,499 and the SR5014 is priced at £849/€949/$999.
