Denon has introduced a 7.2-channel AV receiver designed to deliver high-performance home cinema and multiroom audio in a streamlined package.
The AVR-S980H receiver, available from April 15 through authorised global retailers, delivers up to 90W per channel and supports surround sound.
It looks to offer scalable system configurations ranging from stereo setups to 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos installations.
Additionally, the receiver integrates with HEOS for multiroom audio distribution and supports Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2 and Spotify Connect.
It will also support the option to use the new Denon Home 200, 400 and 600 speakers as wireless surrounds through a future firmware update.
For gaming applications, the receiver features 1440p pass-through and AMD FreeSync support to deliver smoother and more responsive visuals.
Designed for ease of installation and operation, the AVR includes an on-screen setup assistant and app-based control.
