AV component manufacturer, NAD Electronics has unveiled its latest product in its “just add speakers” range, the C 700 BluOS Streaming Amplifier.
The C 700 has been designed to be as visually pleasing as it is audibly, thanks to its elegant, minimalist design and premium materials. Housed in a compact, solid aluminium case with a glass front panel and a 5” HD colour display, it presents album artwork, track status, and system settings.
The colour display also allows users to adjust amplifier settings quickly and conveniently with the added benefit of having the ability to learn commands from any pre-existing remote control.
The new Streaming Amplifier houses a HybridDigital UcD amplifier and BluOS Enabled network streamer. The highly efficient UcD amplifier design is renowned for ultra-low noise and distortion through the entire frequency range, regardless of the loudspeaker load. Using NAD’s HybridDigital UcD amplifier technology means that C 700 can deliver 2x80 watts of continuous power and 2x120 watts of instantaneous power.

Taking a plug and play approach, the C 700 BluOS Streaming Amplifier just need speakers added before it is ready to use. Users can cue music from a digital music library, or stream from internet radio and online services such as Spotify, Amazon Music HD, Tidal, and Qobuz through the intuitive BluOS app.
In addition to the audiophile grade speaker outputs, the C 700 also has a subwoofer output if required. Convenient low and high-pass crossover settings in the BluOS app provide a seamless blend between the subwoofer and main speakers.
Featuring two pairs of RCA analogue inputs, as well as coaxial and optical digital inputs, users can connect disc players, games consoles, media adaptors, and other components. An HDMI eARC port is also included to connect a HDTV with HDMI ARC support to enable users to control volume settings from the TV’s remote.
Two-way aptX HD Bluetooth provides a convenient way to listen to music through wireless headphones, and stream audio from any smart device.
The C 700 will ship globally in late October with a suggested retail price of £1,299 / €1,499 / $1,499.
