Adding to its home cinema experience portfolio, Panasonic has revealed the new SC-HTB490 Slim Soundbar, designed to deliver full sound with powerful bass without it interrupting the view of the display.
The new slim soundbar is designed to fit comfortably under Panasonic’s 2021 line of LED TVs, seamlessly blending in.
Despite its compact form factor, the new HTB490 soundbar produces powerful sound with two full-range, forward-facing 4.5x12cm speaker units pushing 160W of power output. The wireless subwoofer that goes with the soundbar brings an extra 160W, totalling 320W of sonic performance.
Adjacent to the full-range speakers, two bass reflex ports are used to enhance the bottom frequencies to deliver rich and dynamic sound.

Connecting wirelessly via Bluetooth, the HTB940’s subwoofer contains a new small circuit board which means there is more space inside the speaker’s compact casing for sound to reverberate and add impact to the content.
Built-in Bluetooth allows users to listen to music wirelessly from smart devices. As well as having Bluetooth, the soundbar also features HDMI ARC for simple one-cable connection to TVs. An optical input provides another connection choice, while a USB socket allows users to plug in USB sticks to play compatible music files.
Designed to fit under most modern TVs, it can be wall-mounted directly beneath TVs without leaving large gaps.
