Following last year’s launch of its portable projector, the PicoPix Max, Philips Projection is extending the range to include the PicoPix Micro 2 and PicoPix Max One.
Designed for indoor and outdoor use, the new PicoPix Collection aims to give streamers and gamers a portable solution to watch and play wherever they go.
A Philips Projection correspondent said: “Our engineers totally reworked the UI from scratch, delivering a truly simple experience. The fan speed is now controlled by a special algorithm made to optimise the speed, reduce the noise by 20% and protect the projector’s core components.
“The image and sound have been fine-tuned by cinema professionals and acoustic engineers to deliver an immersive experience in a small and pocket friendly design.”
The current PicoPix Micro has been updated with three new colourways: Poppy Red, Winter Blue, and Deep Black. Small enough to fit in your pocket, it is 480p with a mini HDMI and a built-in three-hour battery and speaker.
It is available now and priced at $199.
The new PicoPix Micro 2 is the successor of the PicoPix Micro, featuring a brighter lamp with stereo speakers and a longer battery time. With 480p resolution and weighing just 600g, the PicoPix Micro 2 can be carried in a pocket and content can be shared thanks to its USB type C video and HDMI ports.

It has two built-in three watt speakers offering stereo sound in both directions. The 12,000 mAh battery lasts up to three hours.
The PicoPix Micro 2 will be priced at $299 and will be available this month.
The PicoPix Max One is the other new addition to the collection. With a full HD 1080p display, content is more realistic. The TI DLP and four channel LED ensures pictures and colours remain lifelike and text is clear.
Its built-in five-hour battery means users can watch their content for longer on the go. It also features an electric focus, digital zoom, auto-keystone and four corner correction to give the clearest picture possible wherever you set it up.
The USB Type-C video port delivers data, audio and video and allows connection of laptops (Mac and Windows ready), smartphones or tablets. The PicoPix Max One light source is rated to last 30,000 hours.
Priced at $529, the PicoPix Max One will be available this month.
