PIEGA brings wireless connectivity to its loudspeakers

PIEGA has announced the PIEGA connect, an interface that allows its loudspeakers to connect wirelessly to an existing Hi-Fi system or a multiroom system.

The Premium Wireless Series from PIEGA consists of three wirelessly controllable active loudspeakers in addition to the PIEGA connect interface. Signals are transmitted via a digital wireless link, enabling music to be played via analog and digital inputs. Music can also be streamed via the integrated Bluetooth aptX module directly from a smartphone or tablet.

Quick and easy to install, the existing amplifier or audio source needs to be connected to the analog input or one of the digital inputs of the PIEGA connect interface and then the frequency needs to be selected for the signal transmission. You can also set whether the volume is controlled by the amplifier or the PIEGA connect.

The integrated sound processor automatically adjusts the sound quality, increasing the bass and high frequency sounds. At very high volumes, the bass element if reduced to protect the loudspeakers from any overload.

PIEGA’s Premium Wireless Series does not require Wi-Fi to work, it just has to be connected to a power supply. It also does not need a remote control as it turns on and off automatically.

Settings allows users to select the speaker’s location to ensure optimum sound quality, using modes such as ‘neutral’, ‘close to the wall’ and ‘corner’.
