Italian company, Powersoft, has introduced MeMo, a high performance, ultra-low frequency transducer amplifier bundle, designed for home cinemas and gaming.
Manufactured in Italy, the technology adds another layer of sound to the room that can be felt by the user.
Comprising of a tactile transducer and a matched amplifier platform, the MeMo bundle overcomes the physical limitations of a traditional system to deliver sounds that extend well below sub-harmonic frequencies, to bring users into the heart of the movie, game or music.
A minimal setup and various mounting options allow MeMo to be secured to any gaming chair or added to a cinema chair to achieve a fully immersive experience using haptic perception.
Three presets situated on the back of the amplifier allows users to choose their favourite audio setup.
For gamers, the professional Class D amplifier can be set up to reduce resonating frequencies between 20 and 40Hz, enabling them to experience more realistic and immediate feedback. Also, the powerful patented moving magnet transducer allows racers to feel the road under their virtual seat.
MeMo can also be used to add extra depth to a home theatre system by optimising the technology to bump the frequency around 50Hz and enhance the subharmonic content around 25Hz, allowing them to keep the sub’s volume down while still delivering the full frequency spectrum.
If users want to enjoy music or multimedia content, MeMo can be optimised to use a flat preset with a slight bump between 60 and 80Hz, allowing users to feel the kick that live music often gives.
