Pro Audio Technology adds three new models to SR series

Just in time for CEDIA Expo, Pro Audio Technology (PRO) has announced three new model additions to its SR series of loudspeaker – SR-25im, SR-6im, and SR-26im, as well as a new pivot bracket that provides installation flexibility.

Ideal for home theatre and multiroom audio environments, the SR Series invisible mount loudspeaker are built with the same genuine professional-grade speaker components as PRO’s high-end loudspeakers.

Designed to provide superior sound without sacrificing design, the new loudspeakers replace the existing PRO models: SR-25im replaces SCRS-25im, SR-6im replaces SCRS-6im, and SR-26im replaces SCRS-26im.

The new innovative pivot brackets, that are also being released, are designed to make installing SR Series loudspeakers simple and easy. The brackets can be mounted multiple ways and provide up to 50 degrees of rotation, making them ideal for Dolby Atmos installations where having the ability to aim the loudspeakers at the listener is essential.

The SR-25im features a ¾-in high frequency compression driver mounted on a proprietary waveguide and dual high-power five-inch long-throw woofers. It has a low-frequency sensitivity of 96dB/W, high-frequency sensitive of 109 dB/W and a frequency range of 80Hz – 18kHz.

The SR-26im is the big brother to the SR-25im, yet it is able to fit into a 2x4 stud bay. It features a new Ultra-Purity one-in high frequency compression driver mounted on a second generation PRO ellipsi-symmetrical waveguide, and dual high-power 6.5-in long-throw woofers for systems that require deeper bass, and higher output capabilities. The SR-26im has a low-frequency sensitivity of 99dB/W high-frequency sensitivity of 108 dB/W and a frequency range of 54Hz – 23kHz.

Little brother to the SR-26im, the SR-6im has the same driver components but with a single woofer, providing installers with a lower cost and smaller speaker option for their customers. The SR-26im has a low-frequency sensitivity of 93dB/W, high-frequency sensitivity of 108 dB/W and a frequency range of 58Hz – 31kHz.

Paired with PRO’s DSP Loudspeaker Controllers, the system employs digital signal processing for high-resolution frequency response contouring, dynamics processing, and critical time alignment.

Along with other new S and SR Series Loudspeakers, PRO is providing system designers with extensive engineering data, including EASE complex polar data, and complete 360-degree on- and off-axis response measurements.

During the design process, integrators can now use the expanded data to accurately model the acoustic performance of a system.

The new SR Series Loudspeakers will begin shipping in September and will be showcased at CEDIA Expo in booth #SR-6.
