Ruark has released a new RS1 subwoofer as an accompaniment to Ruark’s MR1 and R3S models.
The subwoofer is designed to fit into the home with its tailored grille and wood panels. The subwoofer features a 100W RMS Class D amplifier with soft clipping filter. This amplifier keeps control of the bass driver at all volume levels, while soft clipping and protection is built in should the system ever be overloaded to avoid damage. The enclosure and custom drivers have been optimised and tuned to provide natural extended bass.
The 300x250x265mm sub has a sub-input via Mono RCA, as well as an adjustable crossover 50–180Hz, input/volume level control and 180-degree phase switch. The sub features a 170mm treated fibre long-throw active driver and a 170mm passive radiator with a frequency response between 25 and 200Hz.
