Home automation specialist Savant has announced that its complete smart home ecosystem is now fully compatible with Google Home Assistant.
Savant says whether controlling a single device or using Savant Scenes, users can now experience the “full power of the Savant control experience via Google voice commands,” after initially introducing support for Google Assistant on its Pro Remote.
Through the Savant/Google partnership users will be able to activate Savant Scenes to control any and all of their smart home features quickly and easily, adjust entertainment, lighting, climate controls, TVs, shading and much more with a single voice command.
The manufacturer states that setup is designed to be as intuitive as possible, allowing users can create a Savant Scene, enable the Savant Action with the Google Assistant or Google Home App and link their account.
Google can discover Savant as an ‘Action’ that can be easily accessed via voice command. Interfacing with Savant’s scene engine that captures personalised automation events, consumers can initiate, schedule, edit or delete a Savant Scene while retaining Google voice control.
Savant’s Google interface is based upon cloud-to-cloud communication between the two services, which the company affirm “leverages the power of Savant’s robust, secure, redundant cloud infrastructure.”
