Savant has announced the launch of Savant Shades, a range of motorised window shades designed for the luxury home market.
Designed to make the mechanisms and enclosures of legacy motorised shades as discreet as possible, Savant’s motorised window treatment options have been created with the help of specialist designer James Geiger.
Savant Shades are available in blackout, translucent and sheer fabrics and incorporate a fascia-free design (eliminating the need for window boxes to conceal wires, screws and fasteners).
The shades’ design incorporates a single motor system capable of driving multiple shades.
The range has a two-phase installation process allowing installers to test mount the assemblies before ordering fabric and ensure everything meets clients’ expectations. Once deployed, shades can be configured using the manufacturer’s Blueprint software to synchronise timing, set stop limits and other parameters. Savant have additionally created the ‘Savant Shade Designer’ eCommerce platform to support integrators in planning and pricing each job.
Shades can be included in any Savant Scene configured by an integrator or homeowner as part of wider Savant home automation system. As for support of 3rd party shading systems, the manufacturer affirms it will continue to offer this on its control platform.
“[With the launch of Shades] Savant has created a complete connected home solution that is the easiest to control and offers real advantages to the customer—including a truly smart environment that delivers energy efficiency without compromising lifestyle and convenience,” commented, Robert Madonna at Savant.
Savant Shades are shipping and available for specification immediately. The line is available exclusively through the Savant.
Savant will exhibit at booth 5129 at next week’s CEDIA Expo. This year’s event takes place from 7 to 9 September at the San Diego Convention Centre.
