Italian loudspeaker manufacturer, Sonus faber has launched its next-generation wireless home audio system, Omnia.
Benefitting from a range of innovative technologies and advanced features, Omnia is a 490-watt, DSP-optimised, seven speaker home audio system. It features a range of wireless connectivity options, including Apple AirPlay 2, Chromecast Built-in, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, and Bluetooth AptX HD. The system is also Roon Ready.
Omnia is advanced with two new trademarked Sonus faber technologies: SENSO and CRESCENDO. SENSO is a touch-sensitive interface that allows users to directly control Omnia, as well as wirelessly connecting it to any digital source. Illuminated lines on the SENSO top panel indicates the speakers’ mode, input and volume. The interface also allows users to stream their favourite music through the latest streaming services.
As well as wireless connectivity, Omnia also has a wired Ethernet connection, plus HDMI ARC to enhance TV sound with a single direct connection. A built-in phono stage allows users to connect turntables, and the unit’s switchable RCA input allows for one other analogue home audio device to be connected.
The new CRESCENDO technology is an advanced signal-processing (DSP) that introduces a greater sense of dimensionality and immersivity, utilising the two full-range side speakers.
For a more immersive sound and natural acoustic experience, Omnia features 3D sound through its 490-watt amplifier and seven high-quality loudspeaker drivers.
Sporting an Italian design, the audio system has an authentic wood surface that is made to stand out in any home. The wood surface is available in Walnut or Graphite.
“For me, Omnia was a complete journey exploring Sonus faber’s vast history, but made at two-times the speed,” said Livio Cucuzza, Sonus faber’s chief design officer. “With every project, my job is to tell the brand’s story and with Omnia, the mission was the same, the process was just faster and went more in depth. In its new, more accessible category, Omnia will offer a taste of Sonus faber’s 40-year history to thousands of new customers, ambitious of course, but also gratifying.”
Omnia is available now priced at £1,599.
