Sony’s XH90 4K HDR Full Array LED TV on sale by end of the month

Sony has said that its new XH90 4K HDR Full Array TV series will be on sale in Europe by the end of May 2020.

The XH90 represents Sony’s mid-range TV offering, and includes a mix of its signature picture quality, ingenious sound design, and ease of use.

Sony’s Full-Array Local Dimming and Boosting technology is featured on the XH90 TVs, which dynamically changes the light levels in sections of the screen depending on the content, resulting in a dramatic increase in contrast and brightness. This moves more towards displaying the creator’s intent as dark scenes are darker and bright scenes are brighter.

In the 65-in models and above, the XH90 TVs are equipped with Acoustic Multi-Audio, which includes two sound positioning tweeters at the back of the TV that enable sound to follow the action on the screen for a truly immersive experience.

Sony’s X-Balanced Speakers are also included to drive movies and music with clear sound, designed to complement the sound quality and slimness of the TV with its new unique shape.

An ideal companion to the forthcoming next generation of gaming consoles, the XH90 series TVs support 4K 120fps high frame rate and fast response time via HDMI inputs to deliver their maximum performance for an improved gaming experience.

Continuing to deliver the creator’s intent, the XH90 range also features Netflix Calibrated Mode, specifically developed to enjoy Netflix originals and reproduce the same picture quality on a TV as on a studio evaluation master.

Android TV with the Google Assistant, Google Play Store and Chromecast is all built in to the XH90 series, offering users easy access to content, services and devices via its extensive platform. Sony’s original user interface menus and voice controls are also enhanced for better daily use.

With Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa enabled devices, users can cast and control videos from YouTube with Google Home or change the channel or volume with Amazon Alexa enabled devices. Users with Apple AirPlay 2 can stream movies, music, games and photos to their television from their iPhone, iPad or Mac. Apple HomeKit technology gives an easy, secure way for users to control their TV from their Apple device.

65-in – £1,499 / €1,799
