UK customers can get their hands on new Sharp Roku TVs from August

Sharp Consumer Electronics and Roku will launch a new Sharp Roku TV series in the UK this August.

Sharp Roku TVs are powered by the Roku operating system, which was purposely designed for TV. All traditional inputs and streaming channels are featured on a customisable home screen. The built-in tuner supports connection to an antenna for broadcast television. On the Roku platform, British consumers can stream global streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+, Paramount+, Apple TV and Prime Video, as well as local services such as BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4, My5 and NOW.

The Sharp Roku 4K range is equipped with HDR10, Dolby Vision and HLG High Dynamic Range image technologies, while 2K models offer HDR10 standard. Dolby Technology delivers enhanced sound performance in 4K Sharp Roku TV models.

Thousands of free and paid streaming channels are available through the Roku Channel Store, which supports searches for titles, actors and directors with results ranked by price. Sharp Roku TV models also work with the free Roku mobile app, which can be used as a remote control for voice search and control, and for private listening. Sharp Roku TV models are compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri. To share media from a mobile device to a Sharp Roku TV, consumers can use the free mobile app or mirror their screen using Airplay 2 or Miracast.
