URC enhances tabletop control with the launch of TDC-8300

URC has unveiled its latest tabletop user interface, a product which was created in response to insights gathered from URC’s community of certified dealers, smart home user surveys, and general technology industry trends.

According to Deloitte’s 2023 Connected Consumer Survey, smart home users believe devices improve their lives mainly by boosting security, allowing remote monitoring and saving time. Combining these insights with URC’s CI industry knowledge, the company also recognised that end users look for aesthetic impact worthy of interior designers, intuitive functionality, powerful features and reliable operation.

With this in mind, the TDC-1120 handheld remote was born, offering a sleek, compact design and an elegant aesthetic to create a statement piece for both smart homes and commercial environments.

The new TDC-8300 premium tabletop touchscreen builds on this, featuring a sleek and elegant aesthetic with a vibrant 8-in colour LCD screen to deliver high-resolution graphics and intuitive functionality.

Its enhanced processing speed enables quick response to simple one-touch or voice commands, while the built-in microphone and speaker communicate seamlessly via Amazon Alexa, Comcast Xfinity or Apple TV.

Its proximity, ambient and pickup sensors wake the screen to ensure a premium user experience.

Compatible with all URC Total Control Accelerator 3 integration, the TDC-8300 can control a vast, whole home or commercial URC system.

Alongside other new products, software upgrades and dealer support, the new TDC-8300 will be on display at URC’s booth #2118 at CEDIA Expo 2024.
