Yamaha announces TIDAL & Deezer support and new receivers

Yamaha has introduced new additions to its RX-V83 series of multi-channel receivers, featuring Dolby Vision, 4K/UHD and MusicCast support.

The range from Yamaha will soon incorporate the RX-V383, RX-V483, RX-V583 and RX-V683 – all offering Dolby Vision, 4k Ultra HD and HDR compatibility.

Dolby Atmos and DTS:X are supported on the RX-V583 and RX-V683 with the RX-V383 and RX-V483 supporting Dolby TrueHD and DTS Master Audio.

Each model features Bluetooth, with the RX-V483 and above featuring Bluetooth transmission as part of MusicCast.

They also feature YPAO (Yamaha Parametric Acoustic Optimiser) technology for auto calibration of your speakers using a parametric equaliser, with the RX-V683 offering the manufacturer’s latest YPAO-RSC (Reflected Sound Control) for accommodating reflective of awkward surfaces and furniture in a space.

The RX-V683 additionally features an MM phono stage inside, allowing users to play records through the same home cinema system.

Yamaha has furthermore announced support for TIDAL and Deezer on its latest 83 series AV receivers and other MusicCast wireless multiroom audio products. Users will be able to access higher sampling rates and Tidal and Deezer’s extensive music libraries via a firmware upgrade.

The RX-V383 and RX-V483 are expected to ship in May 2017, with the RX-V583 and RX-V683 following in June 2017.
