Zennio UK established plus launch of 4-channel universal dimmer

Due to increasing demand of high-end automation solutions worldwide and with more and more projects happening in the UK, 15-year-old company Zennio has opened a UK-based subsidiary.

Well-known within the automation industry and particularly in the KNX world, the Spanish company realised that international expansion was necessary to keep up with demand and established the UK subsidiary by the end of last year.

Vidar Thomassen has been appointed as director of the new UK subsidiary. With over 25 years’ experience in KNX, he was one of the first distributors for Zennio products in the UK and has been working with the company as an independent consultant for the last seven years before joining the team as a Zennio employee.

Following four years as an integrator in Spain, Javier Aguirre has been selected as the technical manager for Zennio’s UK branch. He will provide support to projects taking place in the UK and Ireland.

With the new UK team and facility, Zennio aims to increase its brand’s and general KNX awareness while providing local support to distributors, specifiers and integrators and acting as direct channels to the brand resources, like its web support service for example.

In addition to the opening of the UK branch, Zennio has also launched NarrowDIM X4, a four-channel universal dimmer. The presentation of the new dimmer was due to take place at this year’s Light & Building show.

Answering the LED industry’s cry for a more subtle dimmer, the four-channel universal dimmer is compatible with LED, CFL and RLC loads and 210W per channel @ 230V in 4.5 DIN rail units.

New additions to the dimmer include manual control, error detection, adjustable dimming curves for LED and CFL loads and auto load detection for RLC loads.

To make it unique to Zennio, the manufacturer added 10 independent logical functions, heartbeat, 10 scenes/sequences per channel, customised On/Offs, timers, and much more. The wiring is the same as its widely used DIMinBOX DX4, one wire per channel + L + N, using only six wires.
