The speaker aims to solve challenges posed by LED video walls in home theatre, screening rooms and post-production facilities, specifically around space constraints.
Built on the company’s point-source coaxial heritage and multi-entry waveguide concept introduced in THE HALO 10, THE8 PRO delivers high SPL and control from a compact depth.
Mid and high frequencies share a single waveguide, delivering consistent timing on- and off-axis to facilitate even sound across multiple seats.
Geoffrey Heinzel, co-managing partner of ASCENDO, said: “We used to compromise: make the screen as big and beautiful as possible and accept ‘good enough’ sound.
“But with THE8 PRO, we didn’t have to.
“It disappears into the architecture – and then hits you with the kind of clarity and impact that gives you goosebumps.”
The 100-degree x 60-degree dispersion with a 12-degree wedge angle is tuned for typical residential theatres and screening rooms, covering up to three seating rows and 15m depth while keeping energy off floors and ceilings.
Additionally, three-way passive design delivers 75Hz–20kHz response and up to 131dB SPL, offering cinema-level headroom without active amplification or complex signal routing.
Keyhole, V-brackets and invisible bayonet mounts provide multiple mounting options, with cable channels to keep installs clean and flush.
ASCENDO says the speaker is suitable for LCR, surrounds, heights and reference screening rooms, helping integrators standardise performance.
