Burg-Wächter has unveiled a smart motorised lock that upgrades a traditional front door using a smartphone.
The German brand launches the secuENTRY Active, an entry solution managed via Bluetooth with the BURGsmart app, individual PIN code or remote key.
Designed to solve the issue of misplaced keys, the unit can be installed over an existing lock with the original key inserted.
The unit’s efficient motor rotates the key when activated to both enable and secure access.
There are also ‘open’ and ‘close’ buttons for keyless control.
A manual control offers mechanical emergency access, while highly encrypted data transmission prioritises security.
Users can choose from other operating methods, ranging from weather-protected or fingerprint-operated PIN keypads to a remote electronic key with Bluetooth 5.2 LE.
