DALI’s THX-Certified Dominus subwoofer takes focus at ISE Barcelona

DALI has opened ISE 2026 with a focus on its THX-certified subwoofer, recognised for low-frequency performance.

The Danish audio company puts its V-16 F in the spotlight at the show in Barcelona, taking place this week.

The sub is presented in two forms: a finished display model and acrylic showpiece, said to be the culmination of 40 years of acoustic engineering.

Representing the “closest approximation to a public cinema experience”, the sub’s THX Certified Dominus rating reinforces its suitability for impactful home cinemas and large music systems.

It features 1500 W Class-D power amplification and a 16-inch driver, thought to incorporate the largest ever Constant Surface Surround (CSS rubber surround).

THX says “products in this performance class are built for larger spaces with multiple rows of tiered seating at a greater distance from the screen… they must meet unique performance requirements”.

Krestian Pedersen, head of product management at DALI, said: “I’m excited about our first collaboration with THX and proud that we can showcase the SUB V-16 to a new audience who demand the very best in low end performance matched with the musicality key to every speaker we make.”
