Digital Projection has unveiled an RGB-illuminated, single-chip projector with advancements to its colour performance.
The Delta brand introduces the E-Vision 10000i 4K+ RGB to eliminate the artifacts and colour separation common to projectors using a standard colour wheel.
The projector also rolls out 4K+ resolution, 10,000 lumens, HDR without brightness decay, REC 2020 colour space and a dynamic contrast ratio of 10,000:1.
Said to deliver ‘colour like never seen before’, the unit benefits from a suite of advanced technologies – the most notable being the Texas Instruments-incorporated (TI) 0.8-inch HEP Digital Micromirror Device (DMD).
The DMD offers an increased tilt angle to improve brightness optimised for the colour red; when coupled with Colourboost+ Red Laser technology, it provides reds previously unachievable on a single-chip DLP projector to exceed the REC709 colour standard.
Additionally, the Nexus electronics platform refines image processing and IP6x Sealed Optics protect light output and colour performance from dust.
