The DoorBird app has been integrated with smart locks from Kwikset, a specialist in home security technology, to ‘redefine how people interact with their front doors’.
The collaboration between the two brands, both owned by ASSA ABLOY Group, bridge IP video communication with the Halo locks range.
As a result, residents can remotely unlock their locks from the DoorBird app with a single tap during a live video call.
Sascha Keller, founder and CEO of DoorBird, said: “Being part of the ASSA ABLOY Group enables us to collaborate more deeply and deliver integrated solutions that truly benefit our customers.
“This partnership is a step forward in redefining how people interact with their front doors.”
The experience adds a new level of control by eliminating the need to switch between apps or interrupt the conversation.
It also leverages the existing home Wi-Fi to work natively without the requirement for a hub.
Security and privacy are prioritised with robust authentication protocols, optimised for instant interactions linked with a Kwikset Halo account.
