Lutron Electronics has unveiled its new Alisse wall control for use within a HomeWorks whole-home automation system.
Featuring a thin profile that protrudes less than 3.2mm from the wall, the Alisse wall control is available in various handcrafted finishes to match different tastes and décor. Each finish is matched with crisp engraving which is filled with coordinating ink, as well as a complementary thin, glowing halo around the buttons to complete the look.
The available finishes include a new Signature Metal Collection which are a range of handcrafted metal finishes and painted metal colours. The metal finishes include aged bronze, aged brass, brushed brass, champagne, satin nickel, graphite, and bright chrome, while the painted metal colours include matte black, brilliant white, snow white, and architectural white.
A proprietary preservation process makes the wall control resistant to wear, fingerprints and stains, while not compromising the look or feel of the material.
“At the heart of the Alisse wall control is Lutron’s understanding that every detail matters when designing a home and that technology’s role should be to enhance the design vision, not distract from it,” said Nate Hagemeier, senior sales director, Europe and Africa at Lutron.
“The Alisse wall control’s uncompromising approach to aesthetics through its craftmanship, style, versatility, and harmonious form bring design visions to life in a beautiful way.”
As with many Lutron products, the Alisse wall control comes with personalisation options, including custom engraving and multiple button configurations.
However, unique to other products, Lutron has decoupled the wall plate, button configuration, and finish selection from the installation and programming process to allow the base unit to be ordered, installed, and programmed independently of the Alisse wall control plate, which easily snaps on when the button configuration, finish selection, and engraving details have been finalised. This allows design changes to be made if necessary, right up until the end of the installation.
A protective cover plate is also supplied for the base unit to prevent damage from construction debris. A suite of e-tools has also been created to make ordering the products and customisations quick and easy.
Flexible mounting options gives integrators and customers the choice of one-, two-, and three-column controls mounted within a single-gang backbox.
