IKEA has announced it will debut over 20 smart home products to work with Matter in January 2026.
The home décor giant will introduce its ‘most open and easy-to-use range yet’ as a fully Matter-enabled package, driven by the aim to make homes more adaptable.
The development comes after IKEA’s smart home hub, the DIRIGERA, became a Matter Controller and Bridge to manage devices from other brands on the standard.
David Granath, range manager at IKEA of Sweden, said: “Bringing Matter to our products means we are taking a big step in the right direction, offering compatibility across brands, and lowering the threshold for people to get started.
“Our goal is to make the smart home easy to use, easy to understand, and within reach for the many.”
Alongside its smart products for next year, IKEA also announces two new Bluetooth speakers and a collaboration with Swedish designer Tekla Severin to make sound feel more visible in the home.
Built to work out the box, the NATTBAD Bluetooth speaker comes in a variety of colours and launches in July while the BLOMPRAKT combines lighting with sound and will follow in October.

Granath continued: “We understand how people want to furnish with sound in a way that adds atmosphere and feels natural in the home.”
IKEA says it will issue more updates about the upcoming smart home range and collaborations ahead of January.
