JBL Synthesis has expanded its immersive ecosystem with a new generation of custom loudspeakers and electronics, intended to deliver greater system design flexibility.
The update introduces nine new speakers to the Synthesis Custom Loudspeaker (SCL) family alongside three next-generation processing and amplification components.
Expected to begin shipping this summer, the products reflect a system-wide approach to immersive design for home cinema and audio installations.
The new SCL models cater for in-wall, on-wall and in-room applications, including four new in-wall designs aimed at dedicated cinemas. The other architectural options accommodate projects where in-wall installation is not possible.
A new powered subwoofer also joins the lineup to complete the system.
New electronics complement the speakers, including the JBL Synthesis SDP-70 24-channel immersive processor, the SDP-60 16-channel processor and SDR-40 immersive AV receiver.
They support formats like Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, IMAX Enhanced and Auro-3D.
The loudspeakers, processing, amplification and subwoofers are said to be developed together to ensure consistent voicing, predictable performance and scalable system design across a wide range of residential applications.
