On-Q launches eight-port PoE switch for demanding residential integrations

On-Q has launched an eight-port PoE+ unmanaged network switch, designed specifically for installation inside structured wiring enclosures.

The wiring and connectivity specialist, part of Legrand | AV, unveils the DA8800WH switch which allows multiple connected devices to be powered from an enclosure.

As residential networks expand to support IP cameras, wireless access points and whole-home control systems, integrators are under pressure to deliver higher power budgets and bandwidths in compact spaces.

Available now, the DA8800WH aims to address this demand with eight Gigabit Ethernet ports and a total PoE+ power budget of 120W.

Unlike third-party switches that require additional brackets or improvised mounting, the DA8800WH is engineered for compatibility with On-Q plastic and metal enclosures to help maintain clean cable management.

Front-facing status LEDs assist with troubleshooting, while unmanaged plug-and-play operation reduces configuration complexity.

The switch also supports Energy Efficient Ethernet (IEEE 802.3) standards to lower power consumption during low network activity.

Supplied with mounting hardware and backed by a five-year warranty, the DA8800WH offers a higher PoE+ capacity option for residential and light commercial projects.
