Kaleidescape’s flagship movie player has received the 2025 Red Dot Award for Product Design.
The digital movie platform’s Strato V was selected by the Red Dot Jury in the international design competition for excellence, functionality and innovation.
After being assessed on criteria like formal quality and sustainability, the movie player will be featured in the Red Dot Design yearbook, website and museum in Essen, Germany.
Taylor Stansbury, chairman and CEO of Kaleidescape, said: “We’re honoured that Strato V has been recognised.
“Strato V reflects our belief that high performance and beautiful design should go hand in hand.”
Kaleidescape’s next-generation movie player provides 4K Dolby Vision playback with lossless audio, including Atmos and DTS:X, working both on its own and as part of a larger system.

Independently, Strato V is a single playback zone and stores approximately ten reference 4K movies on an internal, solid-state drive.
The player can download a Kaleidescape high-bitrate 4K movie in ten minutes over gigabit Ethernet, making room for more content with automatic deletion 48 hours after playback.
Storage may be added to Strato V by grouping it with Terra Prime movie servers.
Any number of Strato V movie players can be grouped with one or more Terra movie servers to increase storage capacity.
Strato V has access to the Kaleidescape store offering thousands of 4K and HD titles including movies, TV series and concerts.
