Among the standout products showcased by LG at CES was its Signature OLED TV ‘W’ series offering Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos sound, with the 77-in model picking up of the show’s ‘Best Innovation Award.’
Comprised of ten models, LG’s series of OLED flat panel TVs features the W7 (77-in/65-in), G7 (77-in/65-in), E7 (65-in/55-in), C7 (65-in/55-in) and B7 (65-in/77-in). Whilst the E7 and G7 series offer a Picture-on-Glass design, its newly announced W7 incorporates Picture-on-Wall design.
The manufacturer’s 65-in W7 model features an OLED panel 2.57mm thin and can be mounted onto a wall with magnetic brackets, eliminating gaps between the TV and the wall, in addition to Dolby Atmos sound.
The W7 models incorporate LG’s OLED pixel dimming control technology to remove light leakage and optimise blacks, in addition to Ultra Luminance technology for brightness control.
All of LG’s OLED TVs also feature active HDR, allow each one to process the picture frame by frame, inserting dynamic data where needed. The line offers support for Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) and is ready to support Advanced HDR by Technicolor technology. Furthermore the TVs feature the latest version of the manufacturer’s webOS smart TV platform (version 3.5) for accessing HDR content online.
