Stealth Acoustics introduces latest innovation in invisible audio

Stealth Acoustics has unveiled its LineaRadiance (L-RAD) family of invisible speakers and subwoofers, representing the next evolution of Stealth Acoustic’s flat radiating diaphragm speakers.

Designed to blend in with interior aesthetics, the speakers become completely invisible after installation in a wall or ceiling. On-site finishing options include latex paint, light wallpaper, fabrics and selected texture coats, leaving no visual footprint.

While disappearing into the fabric of its surroundings, the speakers also deliver premium room-filling sound in both residential and commercial settings.

The completely redesigned L-RAD speakers include a host of new features, new internal components, and an integrated acoustically tuned back box which is now an injection moulded component.

New components include the Fidelity Glass Advanced tuned and dampened fibre diaphragm, a new woofer mounting system for increased internal air volumes, an Easy Tape tapered frame/diaphragm edge for improved finishing, and new transducer/exciter driver designs for increased performance and efficiency.

The new L-RAD family consists of nine models, with the L-RAD 116 and L-RAD 430 available now. Seven additional models, including a single-panel stereo model and two subwoofer models will be released within the coming year.

The L-RAD 116 is a 2-way speaker featuring a 6.5-in woofer mounted on a new 16-in by 16-in frame, delivering high-performance from a small, entry-level package. The speaker contains two independent protection circuits (high/mid frequency and low-frequency sections) that automatically reset upon reduction of excessive amplifier power.

The L-RAD 430 is a 3-way speaker with dual high-power 8-in woofers, a 30mm direct coupled neo-magnet mid-frequency driver, and a 25mm direct coupled neo-magnet high-frequency driver mounted on a new 16-in by 30-in frame. It features advanced internal materials to allow for smooth frequency extension from 20kHz down to 35kHz. The L-RAD 430 also contains two independent protection circuits (high/mid-frequency and low-frequency sections) that automatically reset upon reduction of excessive amplifier power.
