AV specialist Redmouse Audio Visual Integration unveils an astonishing vision of marine connection in this luxury yacht.
This remarkable vessel, LEGASEA, featured at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show in an unmissable display of glamour and ingenuity. AV integration company Redmouse was responsible for its system design and implementation, working in tandem with high-end design firm LUCA DINI. The final build has since been described as the embodiment of Turkish naval engineering and Italian design sophistication, creating the next generation of smart yacht AV technology. “What stands out most for us is the yacht’s balance between elegance and functionality,” says Redmouse co-founder and director of integration, Sercan Aktas. “It features a completely hidden AV backbone that provides outstanding performance, without disturbing its refined aesthetic.”
“What stands out most for us is the yacht’s balance between elegance and functionality.”
Constructed by shipyard ADA Yacht Works, LEGASEA hosts 12 guests and nine crew members in its steel-hulled superstructure with comforts at every corner. The onboard experience includes unified control interfaces, high-fidelity distributed audio, multizone video entertainment and discreet automation features. Operational efficiency is supported by the vessel’s quiet movement, with a cruising speed of 12 knots and maximum speed of 16.5 knots. The AV systems are meticulously engineered to reflect these smooth acoustics across all decks.
Setting sail in a new market
The first 50m yacht to join its portfolio, LEGASEA presented Redmouse with several complexities. Headquartered in Turkey, the AV specialist has a reputation for government and commercial projects across EMEA. Marine applications have recently been added to its services.
“About two years ago, we decided to focus on the marine sector,” explains Berk Kucuksener, company co-founder and director of sales at Redmouse. “Turkey is becoming a crucial hub for yacht production. Globally, yacht delivery typically takes two years, but Turkish shipyards can achieve this in one without compromising on quality or power. It’s a booming market with strong international demand.”
The yacht itself was among 120 exhibited at the Monaco Yacht Show on September 24–27, one of the industry’s most prestigious events. Amid €4.3bn worth of vessels and tenders, Redmouse’s creation stood out for its effortless automation powered by Crestron.
“We have collaborated with ADA Yacht Works on previous projects,” adds Aktas. “Our partnership has always been based on mutual trust and a shared vision of premium craftsmanship, both in engineering and aesthetics.”

Control at the helm
Redmouse translated over 50 meetings and two years of planning into this intelligent integration, where everything from main salon cinemas to crew communication networks are coordinated at a simple touch. The rack room is the nerve centre for the yacht’s four levels, located beneath the lower deck.
After detailed coordination with the naval architect and shipyard, the rack room was placed beneath the lower deck – deemed the most stable environment for vibration isolation and temperature control. The location also enables more efficient cable runs to all four levels, reducing signal latency and simplifying future maintenance.
Streaming amplifiers distribute the required power across each deck to serve a total of 38 zones with nine Crestron NVX video sources and five DM NAX 8-Zone Streaming Amplifiers. A combination of sensors, keypads and DIN modules extend control throughout the main, lower, upper and sun decks.
“There are many advantages to using a single brand,” relates Kucuksener. “It provides a seamless user experience, especially for clients used to juggling multiple systems. We designed the project around Crestron from the start to effortlessly synchronise programming, shading and entertainment. Its flexibility allowed us to realise the client’s unique vision, even down to custom keypad designs, colours and laser-cut materials.”
User interfaces also include local touch panels and handheld remotes. “Initially, it was challenging to communicate the vision,” he continues. “Through numerous demos, we showed how smart keypads and tailored programming could simplify control. Now, everything is automated and managed from wall panels or a smartphone.”
“Crestron’s flexibility allowed us to realise the client’s unique vision, down to custom keypad designs, colours and laser-cut materials.”
With this versatile control system, the yacht serves as both a private residence and a fully equipped workspace for the client. He makes regular use of the multiroom distribution and networking features and plans to live permanently on board. “The client uses the meeting room day-to-day,” Kucuksener says.
Guest suites offer their own touch of luxury with features such as integrated Lithe Audio WiFi ceiling speakers, which also bring sound to the crew quarters. Meanwhile, the yacht’s expertly designed interiors combine earthy tones and panoramic windows to invite oceanic beauty indoors. “From the earliest design stages, we worked closely with LUCA DINI to ensure every technical component complemented rather than competed with the interior concept,” adds Aktas. “Our goal was to incorporate AV invisibly into the superyacht, maintaining the clean lines, materials and atmosphere of LUCA DINI’s design.”

Lighting precision
Lighting and shading are managed from a dedicated control centre running parallel to AV in the rack room. According to the Redmouse team, this placement supports the project’s guiding principles: comfort, efficiency and adaptability. The centralised lighting system integrates dimmers, relays and power supplies for keypads and shades.
A total of 51 custom Horizon 2 keypads populate the owner’s quarters, saloon, foyer, guest rooms and crew areas across the main and lower decks. Users can select lighting scenes such as Good Morning, Relax or Night, with additional control over individual fixtures including chandeliers and downlights.
Every deck features DALI circuits to support digital scene-setting and energy efficiency via motion sensors. Recessed and linear fixtures enhance the yacht’s minimalist aesthetic, although Kucuksener admits the project was challenging when it came to scale. “Our previous largest yacht was 35m and marine cabling is an entirely different discipline,” he explains. “Running cables through tight corners and curved structures was extremely demanding. The shipyard executives were satisfied with the high standard cabling we managed.”
Aktas elaborates: “Every yacht project is a learning journey: while we’re very satisfied with the results, continuous improvement is part of our philosophy.”

Outdoor and multiroom AV
With open-air lounges and sprawling decks, the yacht demanded a sophisticated outdoor AV solution. “We installed NVX decoders to distribute video over an AVoIP network,” says Kucuksener. “Main salon cinemas are located on the sun deck and use Customised Weatherproof Terrace TVs, while Mirror displays feature throughout the interior.”
A Marantz CINEMA AVR supports 8K and Dolby Atmos for the theatre setup. Multiroom audio can be played locally or across the entire vessel, saunas through to saloons. Crestron All-Weather Ceiling and Ultimate 10-inch Active Subwoofers cover the upper and sun decks where the bar and lounge areas can be found.
This amplified audio in social zones is complemented by Architectura Sonora spherical speakers which provide discreet, omnidirectional sound on the upper deck. “The client initially wanted something simple for the exterior,” Kucuksener recalls. “But through consultation, we extended automation to curtains, shades, power and networking to demonstrate the power of integration on all decks.”

Always connected
Following handover, Redmouse provides 24/7 remote support. “Thanks to the yacht’s redundant internet connectivity, we can access the system anywhere in the world,” points out Kucuksener. “We can remotely control touch panels, troubleshoot and update configurations in real time.”
“Thanks to the yacht’s redundant internet connectivity, we can access the system anywhere in the world.”
The same applies to the Crestron Home interface, which allows the client to remotely manage multiple yacht properties in a single app. “We are already collaborating with ADA Yacht Works on other upcoming builds,” Kucuksener continues. “The partnership is evolving and we look forward to integrating the next generation of AV and control technologies in future.”
