ADI | Snap One has introduced a new way for smart home integrators to become Control4-certified.
The Control4 Certified Technician (C4CT) Programme offers both online and in-person learning covering networking, lighting, security, surveillance, climate control, audio and video.
Including both residential and commercial components, the training typically takes 50 hours to complete all eight courses and features Control4’s latest OS release – X4.
Ryan Marsh, senior vice president and chief revenue officer at ADI | Snap One, said: “This new certification programme is a key step in supporting our customers by expanding the number of highly skilled, certified Control4 technicians in the field.”
ADI | Snap One reduces the need to travel or disrupt ongoing projects in a bid to tackle the challenges of ongoing training, making C4CT available globally from August 29 this year.
Under its ‘Even Better Together’ mantra, the integrated company is rolling out the in-person training at its global education centres at no cost for the dealer or technician.
C4CT content will be introduced over the next few months to complement and replace some of the current content for consistency across online and in-person channels.
Marsh continued: “With no other training on the market for Control4 products, we are looking forward to offering our customers a flexible and one-of-a-kind opportunity.”
The online version of the training is available to Control4 dealerships that meet specific criteria: at least one full equipment kit must be purchased at a cost of $3,700 USD with equivalent pricing in all available markets, based on local currency.
Additional technicians from the same dealership can access the courses and share the equipment kit for an additional $100 USD (€85.90 EUR) each.
Additional information about C4CT is available in ADI | Snap One training rooms during the CEDIA Expo in Denver, USA from September 3-5.
