After just a month of being on sale, Amazon has stopped sales on its Echo Wall Clock due to connectivity issues.
In an interview with
The Verge, a representative for Amazon said: “We’re aware that a small number of customers have had issues with connectivity. We’re working hard to address this and plan to make Echo Wall Clock available again the coming weeks.”
The clock is still listed on Amazon’s website with details of its features but says ‘Currently Unavailable’.
With a normal analogue display, the Amazon Echo Wall Clock looks very much like an ordinary clock but has built in smart features such as timers and reminders to assist homeowners in every day life.
Echo Wall clock must be paired to a compatible Echo device and stay within 30 feet. Users can schedule multiple timers using voice control through a compatible Echo device. The clock will then use the digital 60 LED display to show the time remaining on each timer as well as showing a countdown animation for the last 60 seconds.
The clock is a 10-in diameter white bezel clock and includes mounting hardware and four AA batteries – much the same as an ordinary wall-mounted clock. The easy set up means the user asks the compatible Echo device to set up the Echo Wall Clock and it does it automatically.
