Apple has revealed that Apple TV 4K’s much-anticipated Dolby Atmos update will be unleashed next week – Monday 17 September, 2018, to be exact.
Apple is getting ‘immersive.’ Whilst the majority of Apple’s product launch event yesterday focused on the upcoming introduction of the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR, CEO Tim Cook still put aside time to talk about updates on the horizon for Apple TV 4K.
Apple's popular streaming set-top box will see Dolby Atmos added to sit alongside Dolby Vision HDR technology on its spec sheet too, available via a software rollout coming in the next few days.
Users will simply be able to turn on Apple TV on 17 September to find the upgrade and begin enjoying Dolby Atmos-standard goodness.
