CEDIA has selected Ian Bryant as its senior director of technology application and innovation.
After spending more than two decades in the custom AV and integration market, Bryant runs the Indianapolis office of Detroit-based ZenArray which specialises in consulting, design, programming, and installation services. He has also served as a technology subcontractor for residential, corporate, government, and hospitality projects.
Bryant’s new role with CEDIA involves close collaboration inside and outside the global organisation. Responsibilities include serving as CEDIA’s technology education working group liaison, active involvement with CEDIA’s Technology and Standards department to develop new content for education, and functioning as the staff lead on all technology associated with CEDIA headquarters.
Already heavily involved with CEDIA, Bryant was awarded CEDIA Volunteer of the Year in 2017 and CEDIA Education Volunteer of the Year in 2011. He has also served as a subject matter expert for the organisation since 2008 and will continue to provide expertise in multiple arenas, including participating in the ANSI/ISO/IEC standards committee for education. For the last three years, Bryant has been the CEDIA Awards chair and has been a judge since 2008.
