CEDIA has announced that Dave Pedigo has been promoted to Vice President, Emerging Technologies.
Pedigo will take on one of the key initiatives of the CEDIA brand strategy: creating partnerships with manufacturers, service providers and standards bodies that will proactively address the emerging technology needs of home technology professionals at every level. Additionally, he will head up CEDIA's market intelligence and proprietary research.

"CEDIA members must be nimble in their ability to leverage new technology. As their association, there is no question that we must provide members with the tailored resources they need not only to drive profit, but to deliver exceptional experiences to homeowners," said Vin Bruno, CEDIA CEO. "Dave brings incredible passion and depth of knowledge to this new role and that will set CEDIA up to advance and develop our offerings across the board."
Pedigo has been with CEDIA for 12 years always serving in a technology role, first as the Senior Director of Technology and most recently as the Senior Director of Learning and Emerging Trends. Dave also oversees the CEDIA Technology Council, whose mission is to ensure long-term member prosperity by informing members and industry partners on emerging trends, threats and opportunities within the home technology channel. The Technology Council also develops, through its applied information action team, recommended practices, standards and white papers.
Dave previously worked in the satellite industry, as the Senior Director of Education for SBCA and as a Technical Training Engineer at Hughes Network Systems. Prior to working in the technology sector, Dave was a teacher for at-risk youth at an alternative high school in Baltimore.
