Another Meridian Live day was held earlier this month, where Meridian Audio opened its doors to over 40 technology integrators and industry professionals who were given an opportunity to experience a range of new product demonstrations and gain an understanding of how they can introduce and sell Meridian products and its distributed brands to their clients.
Visitors were split into groups and given a tour, stopping in four key areas around the building.
Starting with the reception area, visitors were able to see and trial different setups of the audio products. Featuring demos of the M6, DSP3200, DSP5200, DSP8000 Special Edition loudspeakers, this area also showcased the capabilities of the 218 Zone Controller and 210 Streamer.
A big hit with the guests was the reference digital cinema demo which allowed visitors to experience the new Meridian DSP In-Wall Loudspeakers from the Architectural range. As well as being able to hear them in action, attendees could also get an idea of the performance available from Meridian products, as well as its distributed partners, Barco Residential, Display Technologies, and Cinema Acoustic Treatment Systems (C-ATS).
The new loudspeaker models, DSP640.2 and DSP520.2, are the first to be powered by the new Meridian ‘CLASS-M’ DSP engine and to integrate Meridian’s ‘DYNAMIC’ hi-res amplifiers.
Next stop on the tour was the media room where visitors could experience the new Barco Bragi 4K LED RGB with native Cinemascope. Benefitting from Barco Residential’s unique Cinemascope technology, the Bragi projector uses the latest in HLD and LED illumination technology for exceptional colour fidelity and sharp imagery for a more immersive viewing experience.
Its motorised DCI/P3 filter for HDR performance means that the projector will support both SDR and HDR viewing as well as Barco’s unique RealColour processing for simple and accurate calibration.
The factory tour gave attendees an insight into Meridian’s journey, starting with a look back in time to the first ever products created by the company and some of the key technology launches over the past 40 years.
Visitors were given a full tour of the factory floor, allowing them to see Meridian staff creating, testing and assembling products.
The next Meridian Live event is due to take place on Wednesday 6th November and will be another exclusive event for current dealers and their staff to explore Meridian Audio.
