The new system supports AirPlay, DLNA and high quality aptX Bluetooth with the ability to add multiple AeroSphère within network range. The system can also be controlled via the AeroSphère App for iPhone and Android, supported locally by a an all-aluminium remote handset. LED indicators illuminate the Geneva logo on each AeroSphère speaker, changing its colour to indicate source and status: green for AirPlay/ DLNA, blue for Bluetooth, pink for line-in, and with the Base connected, red for CD, light blue for FM or DAB and again pink for line-in.
From tabletop or optional stand, the AeroSphère Large’ wireless active stereo speaker system is enhanced by Geneva’s proprietary embracing sound’ DSP. The domed cabinet, which measures approximately 40cm across houses two 1-inch tweeters, two 4-inch woofers and an up-firing 6-inch subwoofer, arranged within three separate acoustic chambers and powered by dedicated amplifiers individually optimised by proprietary DSP for accurate audio reproduction. The up-firing woofer ensures that bass quality remains consistent in the room, but for added fine tuning, DSP presets available from the App optimise response according to room position: freestanding, single boundary and corner.
Designed for shelf or optional stand, AeroSphère Small’ is a wireless active mono speaker with DSP soundstage enhancement, which can be paired to operate in stereo through the AeroSphère App. Having the form factor of its larger range-mate but approximately half the size, AeroSphère Small’ is conceived to extend spacious high quality sound to bedrooms and dining areas. Its rescaled audio system comprises a 1-inch tweeter and 4-inch woofer individually chambered and driven by DSP-controlled amplifiers according to Geneva’s proven acoustic design regimen.
Adding to their comprehensive Wi-Fi and wireless connectivity, both AeroSphère speakers offer a stereo mini-jack line input for local analogue audio sources.
AeroSphère Base is a compact App-controlled network device designed to multiply the sources available to as many as four AeroSphère speakers simultaneously. With the Base on the network, CD, FM/DAB/DAB+ radio (with presets) and a further line source can be added to the system, augmenting content streamed to the speakers from PC, smartphone and tablet.
When the App is being used elsewhere, it’s still possible to play to individual AeroSphère speakers via Bluetooth or line-in and control the speaker locally with the AeroSphère remote.
