Consumer technology company Garmin has unveiled a premium home audio system designed to optimise sound performance, while blending discreetly into domestic spaces.
The JL Primacy Audio system, offered with either T6 three-way tower loudspeakers or S3 two-way standmounts, is controlled by a networked streaming preamplifier and room optimisation processor.
This stereo controller, known as the CS centrepiece, is designed to seamlessly integrate with décor, says the brand.
The centrepiece connects to the Primacy loudspeakers via Dante networking, including a Wi-Fi-connected tabletop remote controller.
When activated, the system uses Primacy Automatic Room Optimisation (PARO) to adjust crossover settings, levels, equalisation and timing for each driver.
This can be managed optionally through the companion Primacy app, which also deploys bespoke listening profiles.
Susan Lyman, Garmin vice president of consumer sales and marketing, said: “Primacy lets you listen to music, movies and games like you're there live, inside the scene, with amazing clarity of every sound."
Each loudspeaker features multiple built-in amplifiers, with DSP filtering occurring at the input of each active amplifier channel for optimal damping over each moving diaphragm.
Users can stream audio from online sources like Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Roon Ready, Apple Airplay and Google Cast.
