At around 18Gbps, native 4K@60fps requires a bandwidth beyond the capacity of copper and comprehensively exceeds the limits of HDBaseT/CAT6 networks. In order to equip new wiring schemes for the highest specification 4K content and ever higher bandwidth needs, an infrastructure upgrade to fibre should be mandatory in new builds and refurbishments. Cleerline’s game-changing NSF fibre optic cable reduces the time costs and risks associated with traditional methods while improving performance and reliability. Cleerline’s innovative NSF fibre optic cable is the first cable with an integral coating that eliminates the need for an acrylate buffer layer. It also is the first to protect the glass at all times, boosting speed of termination, bend tolerance and safety. Cleerline NSF’s proprietary polymer coating is an integral part of the fibre. It allows the installer to terminate mechanical splice style connections quickly, and because the glass isn’t exposed, avoids the possibility of imperfections or scarring of the glass caused by stripping. In addition, Cleerline NSF replaces the standard buffer coating’ with a soft peel’ jacket, which can be removed with fingernails, saving time and the cost of a special tool. These enhancements have made Cleerline NSF the easiest and most cost-effective fibre to terminate. Using a simple Cut; Cleave; and Connect’ regime, the process can be completed in as little as sixty seconds. NSF fibre is compatible with all common connector systems on the market for standard 50/125 multimode and 9/125 single mode fibres. Commenting, Habitech’s MD Jonathan Pengilley said “Cleerline’s truly innovative advance in fibre management will save you valuable time costs on site while delivering reliable connections. When you open up a wall it makes sense to accommodate the higher bandwidth needs of 4K and build-in capacity for ever greater data delivery by installing fibre now. The material cost is low and your customer will love you when you can supply uncompressed 4K on demand and throughout the home, with the addition of a few fibre-balun upgrades.” For further information about the Cleerline range please contact Habitech +44 (0)1420 540054 or visit: www.habitech.co.uk
