The KNX Association has announced that it will be hosting a number of presentations and activities as part of its broader theme of creating a “secure KNX IoT city†at the Light + Building fair in Frankfurt next week.
With a total presence spanning approximately 700 m², KNX will undermine its position in the smart home and building market by transforming its main booth into a ‘KNX Internet of Things city’ (at Galleria). From here speakers will address topics such as "the role of KNX in the Internet of Things", "Protecting KNX installations with real KNX Secure Devices, showcased at various KNX Secure Panels", "KNX RF in action", "The KNX Championship" and "KNX Training Area - easy ways of getting to know KNX". At the stand, KNX Professionals will also showcase 10 real KNX Secure applications and attendees will be able to take advantage of special event reductions for ETS.
The stand will offer a mix of demonstrating how KNX systems can be extendable with multiple IPv6 compliant physical media and how KNX plans to extend its distributed reliable interoperability up to the cloud. All of this taking into account the results of the joint work with Fairhair Alliance and Thread Group.
In total, the KNX Association will have a presence at five booths at the event, with more than 180 KNX members represented across the show.
Next to the KNX IoT city will be the KNX Member community booth located in Hall 8 (F98), at which 28 members from 9 countries will present their work. In Hall 9 (B30), KNX will have a joint booth with Smart Home Initiative Germany, at which the winning projects of its annual Smart Home Award will be presented. In Hall 11.1 (C92) KNX has yet another member community booth. Finally, the KNX stand in Hall 9 (E14) will be dedicated to showcasing the benefits of KNX Secure.
