Nortek Security & Control enters single-room control market through strategic partnership with PowerHouse Alliance

Nortek Security & Control (NSC) has announced its plans to pursue the single-room control custom installation market by delivering a new high-performance product bundle through six select members of the PowerHouse Alliance.

A consumer electronics supply and distribution group, PowerHouse Alliance’s distributors will thoroughly train and support their customers, a group custom integration professionals. 

Following training and certification, the Alliance’s customers will be authorised to purchase a specific PowerHouse control bundle comprising of the new compact ELAN EL-SC-100-SR System Controller and ELAN EL-HR1 handheld remote control. These products are a combination optimised for control of single media rooms or other single-room installations.

For easy support, ELAN’s new single-room solution can be cloud managed, allowing dealers to view and control deployed systems to monitor and ensure the software is up to date. 

This collaboration opens opportunities for the average consumer to enjoy the benefits of home automation by bringing together the ELAN media and one-room system and a world-class electronics distribution organisation to allow custom integrators to offer pro-grade, affordable automation solutions. 

Homeowners using the ELAN single-room control solution can control almost all their media and entertainment in one room through one remote. The ELAN mobile app can be used to control and automate lighting, temperature, and door lock systems in the home. 

The six PowerHouse Alliance members include CRT (Davis Distribution), Electronic Custom Distributors, Mountain West Distributors, STV, Inc. (21st Century), Ultimate Integration, and Pioneer Music Co.
